Gold continues to beat the Dow Jones Index over the short- and long-term but the other stock market indexes are surpassing most other commodities in 2023, as the (Refinitiv/Core Commodity) CRB commodity index is down over 6% in 2023. This makes gold’s 8.3% gain all the more remarkable, beating the commodity index by over 14%.
